SimpliSafe Gift Cards
Called into customer service today (option 4) to ask if I could prepay one year of the 24.99 interactive monitoring plan for my daughter and son-in-law. The rep (Shelby in FLA) was very nice and said she would be able to do it. Thanks to the slooooooowwww systems at Simplisafe, it took hera bit to process, and to state the obvious, slow systems are not her fault. Truth be told, I was thrilled she was able to do it and will send a separate email to SS mgt to recognize her for great service.
Request to SS: allow customers to purchase online gift cards that can easily be given to other customers and redeemed for products and services. Save us customers, and your support staff, unnecessary calls, time and effort. And, by the way, make more money!

When my daughter and son-in-law got married, my wife and I provided a perfect wedding present: A Simplisafe 3 security system and 1 year of monitoring. Asked then if a gift card was available for purchase and told "we will in the future". First grandchild born two years later, went through a cumbersome process to provide a gift of 1 year of monitoring and asked, again, when gift cards would be available. Answer: when we get on a new platform we will soon after have gift cards available. Forward the clock almost another 2 years and, yeah, you know, no gift cards available.
I am now going to call support, request I buy one year of monitoroing (and get I think 2 months of monitoring free, great deal if that's still around) but work through it's not for my account, their account, and use my credit card (luckily I know their safe word and other details) but a gift card would be so much easier.
Simplisafe, how hard is this to do? Another revenue maker for you to boot.

@davey_d It's been two years + on this, how hard is it to setup the ability to sell customer gift cards??
