Feedback to SS and other Companies: KISS
I was just at the Costco.com website and, for the 100th time, have left negative feedback on their website. Why? When I log in, Costco knows who I am: Name, address, email, member # etc. What does Costco do? Based on my IP address that Verizon moves all of the country several times a week, a warehouse, delivery zip code etc that has absolutely nothing to do with me shows on my home page.. Fill out an inquiry form? Enter my membership #? Why? Ignoring "Keep it Simple Stupid" with bad design, lazy coding, a deaf ear to members (or just plain stupidity).
Say what you want about SimpliSafe, while not perfect they do listen. Case in point in the recently phone app features introduced to allow multiple sign ins and the rearrangement of cameras. Critical? No, but that's the point. Customers requested both and, eventually, SimpliSafe got it done. And, in many instances, when they can't or won't, they tell you, plain and simple.
Sure, there is a long, long list of things we are still waiting for but some are getting done. SS, thanks for listening and keep doing so. Costco? Kick your IT dept in the butt and get them to 2025, its not 1997 anymore.
