Expand Number of Cameras per Account
With outdoor cameras now possible (with the outdoor kit) and maybe dedicated outdoor cameras in the future, are there any plans to increase the 10 camera limit for system 2? I am currently maxed out at 10 and would like to add more.

So unless SS comes out with a REAL outdoor camera, it's not likely to be a truly satisfactory solution. Frankly, the best outdoor camera system is wired cameras with a DVR/NVR. If wireless in necessary, then look for one which uses a more reliable motion detection than PIR, since that works best when the surrounding environment is constant.

Most of my cameras are there for "view only' and don't need the ability to record.
It would be nice to add more than 10 cameras and select which are to record vs. ones that are view only.
Maybe set the max record limit to 10?

If you want a camera system look at the NVR systems at your local big box and warehouse stores. They'll give you much higher resolution and abilities. Or if you're a DIY kind of person with a Windows PC look at Blueiris software - it supports literally hundreds of flavors of cameras. Just my 2 cents.

Please add support for more cameras! 10 is not that many, and there's no reason the number shouldn't be higher.

I have a large home, with separate out buildings, and acreage - which a 10 camera maximum will not provide adequate coverage. It is important to me to be able to add additional cameras and implore SimpliSafe to prioritize this expansion capability.

I’m in the same boat as everyone else. SimpliSafe now has an outdoor monitoring system. But I’m maxed out at 10 cameras. There definitely needs to be more allowed.

I've just ordered several more cameras... if there's a maximum of 10 then we've got a bit of an issue...
If it has to do with cloud costs -> charge more for an expanded or doubled limit? Or charge $2-3/mo/camera?
Upload speeds can also be an issue, but some of us have larger properties that we want decent camera coverage at. I'm now looking at adding a secondary property at the same address and seeing how much of a pain it is...

Agreed. They are losing money from
me by not being able to buy and install additional cameras since I hit the 10 camera limit.

Maxing the number of cameras at 10 is a disservice to SS as a company. Many users, like myself need more than 10 cameras to adequately cover the inside and outside of their home to ensure they are protected in the event that something happens. Only allowing 10 cameras is forcing me to look outside of SS to provide this coverage with possibly another company altogether.

Hello, same as others, to cover my home with indoor and outdoor cameras, I need to be able to add more than the 10 allowed at this time. An update to allow more than 10 would be great. Thanks!

Please add additional cameras about 10. You can charge more the increments of some number (i.e. 5 or 10, etc.)
Thank you.

So disappointed to learn I just hit my maximum. Need to add 3 more cameras :-(
please increase the limit and maybe ask us to prioritize 10 for recording if necessary as long as the one that detects the motion records no matter what.

I can barely cover the outside areas of my house with 10 cameras. I need to have at least 14 to get the coverage I need inside and out. Please make this a focus. I have been an active subscriber for 3 years.
