"Do not disturb" option for non-emergency voice prompts

I would like SimpliSafe to add a feature where non-emergency voice notifications from the base station, such as low battery can be turned off during 'do not disturb' times. We had a door sensor that was low in battery. Low battery warning comes in about a month before the battery really dies. However, the base station announces (we have the volume at high) low battery at 2 AM or about every few nights. It should be possible to set times when we want those non-emergency notifications to be announced.

Hi @sangrithi,

At this time, you cannot customize which voice notifications you receive from the Base Station. I'd be happy to share your interest in having more customizations with the Base Station with our development team. In the meantime, Captain provides a great workaround with push notifications!

@sangrithi Your request is reasonable and I can easily see the reasoning, but I am sure you are going to wait awhile if and when SS implements it.  As a workaround, try setting all voice prompts to off. Unliike the base unit being proudly displayed in the middle of the tv commerical's family living room talking and lighting up, almost all of the SS customers I know (including me) keep it hidden, out of sight, with no voice prompts or lights.  Turning on push alerts and being vigilent to read messaging on the keypad(s) and phone app, you won't miss a trick. The result is kids sleeping soundly and you still getting the information you need.  Try it, you may decide you don't need for SS to do your request afterall.
