Disable three-tone warning sound when sensors are not responding

You've probably heard it.  About every 10 seconds, a series of 3 tones are heard and it keeps going until you do something about it.  Why is that necessary?  How about once a minute or even every 5 minutes?  And how about an announcement that a sensor is off line.   The tones drive us nuts because it is so often.  And the wife and I wondered what it is?

And of course when it happens in the middle of the night, it makes me want to smash the base station.  The Dev team needs to make that notification less annoying and more obvious what is happening without having to log in to the app or the computer.

Hi @rglenhamilton,

It sounds like you're hearing the Base Station's Trouble Signal. This is a three-note chime to alert you that there is a potential problem with your system - like if a sensor is Offline or there is a failure with the Base Station's backup batteries.

You can turn down the Trouble Signal's volume, or turn it off completely using the Keypad. This can be done by navigating to Menu > enter your Master PIN > System Settings > Trouble Signal. When you turn off its volume, you will still see a notification on your Keypad alerting you to what the problem is.

Hi all,

Just to add on to @emily_s 's point, keep in mind that the Trouble Signal may be required for your system to meet local regulations and certifications - e.g. UL-985. I would suggest reaching out to your local police and fire department for info on whether it's required for you.

@rglenhamilton When this feature was installed, I too found it annoying. Contacted support and they told me how to shut it off. Before, and now, I rely on push alerts to notify me of issues, quickly and not annoyingly. :-)

Contact support to walk you through itl
