Detecting Drones, and out pacing ADT...because their service stinks
Drones are going to be more of a nuisance in the future. Since the FAA/FCC forces the drones to transmit an ID, develop a receiver sensor to capture that information within the security range. Drones can be used to surveille a property to see if you're home or not.
Second idea is to offer a ability to wire your sensors to a base station, or ethernet to a custom POE router. This is pretty much the last thing for a DIY that makes ADT stand out over Simply Safe. I'd close that loop and investigate a package.

Third. Why not turn the panic button into a wearable? No change to the sensor, just in the form factor, as long as it doesn't trigger under other signals (car door opener for example). With today's aging population it could be a good sell, as that market is pretty fragmented and you could dominate.
I don't think you folks realize that your solution could dominate if you could get ahead of the curve.
