Outdoor Camera not charging despite plugged in
Hi all, My camera Outdoor Gen 3 is plugged in, but does not reflect a power source (just a battery icon) in the app. I’ve tried a replacement camera and replacement outdoor cable. Tried all normal troubleshooting steps and it still doesn’t work. My issue has been escalated to simplisafe support but was wondering anyone had encountered this.

@Mickeytheking For clarification, your entire system is Gen 3, with the OD camera either the original or the series 2 with the microphone section that sticks out of the bottom. I can a similar problem, but before exchanging the camera I took 2 additional steps: used a new plug and sprayed the plug, outlet (power off) and the camera insert with CCR electrical cleaner. Now steady power. Over time a film can develop on the metal components and make the power flow inconsistent or not at all. I thanked my dad who was an Electrical engineer for Square D for over 40 years.
Suggest you try it. A screwdriver blade scrapping the prongs on the plugs before spraying help too.

I have the same issue. Three cameras, one charges, shows 100%, the other two are not charging. The house is new and the outlets all work. The cameras are also new.
Please let us know what support does.
