Options for covering dock 300ish feet from house
Looking for suggestions. I would love to put an outdoor camera on my dock to cover it and my boat which are about 300 feet from the side of the house or 320 feet from the base station. I bought the camera, however, it is simply out of range ... honestly, it seems the range from my base station only extends about 50 feet outside the house. The house has cement board siding and a metal roof, so I believe that is blocking the signal.
I have wifi access and power at the dock, so would consider adding another base station ... but, although it would be under roof, it would not be temperature or humidity controlled and therefore probably be a problem over time?

@brettc649d5 Honestly, 300+ feet from your house is a more than a bit dicey. Recommend your own plan B of getting another base as a possible solution. I have two entry sensors in my unheated garage and a motion sensor, and both have worked well for the past 7+ years in Chicagoland temperature ranges from 90+ to 15-20 degrees. Moisture is another major concern for the base. I think this may be a case of "a bridge too far".
