My system keeps beeping consistently

My base station keeps beeping consistently. I can't see anything wrong in the dashboard or via the keypad. Here is a video: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/u79c3lm4pqzg8wl45d7s0/IMG_1994.MP4?rlkey=yo3yohuy5ay16712qajjq5cva&dl=0

Any ideas?

Thx!

Hi @TenaciousT ,

That's definitely the Trouble Signal, indicating that there's a critical issue with the system's function that needs to be address. You can learn more about it here.

Normally though, the Keypad should have a message in the Notification <!> section. Could you try pulling down on the Dashboard of the SimpliSafe app? That will refresh the info in the app in case it's outdated. if anything is wrong, you should see a message at the top - perhaps something like "1 Device not responding" or indicating a low battery.

@khooker If this is the Trouble Signal, it will sound periodically until the issue is resolved. If you look at your Keypad, it will say what the issue is. Once resolved, the Trouble Signal will stop.

How do I make the base station stop generatating an audible Trouble Signal? I get text messages and emails, I don't also need the base station beeping incessantly.

@amason you can turn the Trouble Signal off on the Keypad by going to Menu > System Settings > Trouble Signal and then select your desired volume.

Thank you!  This audible trouble alert started going off at 3AM and I ended up having to put the base unit in my car outside.  Apparently, i was getting an interference alert on the keypad.  Ok i got the message and there isn't much i can do about it at 3AM so how do i make it stop other than smashing the thing to bits?  Is this feature some kind of sick joke?

Similar problem for me. 3am my base station starts chirping. After some groggy eyed review of my app, nothing showing as an error. Unit was in Off mode, so I switched to Home mode and that appeared to address the problem (stopped the chirping anyway). While investigating nothing was showing up as an error. This was similar to a low battery alarm situation, but this was not the case (I’ve replace several OEM batteries that didn’t seem to have much life in them.  I suspect Simplisafe software engineers don’t quite have a grip on their equipment and need to get to work.

@whjjohansen It sounds like you heard the Base Station's Trouble Signal. The Trouble Signal sounds when the Base Station detects a potential problem with the system; once the issue has been resolved, the Trouble Signal will stop.

In order to see what is triggering the Trouble Signal, take a look at the Keypad. There should be an exclamation mark on the screen, along with the issue that is occurring with your system.
