Entry Countdown Beeps
How do I ENABLE countdown beeps upon entry? My keypad is completely silent upon entering and it’s caused me to think the system is unarmed (multiple times) and then the siren goes off.

Hi @ Van3ssaMichelle,
It sounds like what could be happening is that your Keypad isn't getting the signal right away to start the countdown chirps. Fresh batteries could help - especially if it's been 6-12 months since you last replaced them (or since you bought your system).
Another problem could be interference. That can be caused by physical objects literally getting in the way - like dense walls (brick or concrete), heavy appliances, etc.
Or it could be another wireless signal that's drowning out the one between your Simplisafe devices. Since it's a very low frequency, you're looking for simpler devices like a wireless garage door opener or a wireless weather station.
Interference can delay or weaken signals, or if they're strong enough, even prevent signals entirely.
A quick test for if Interference is the problem is to put your Keypad closer to the Base Station (maybe a couple of feet away). If you start hearing the countdown chirps, then we'll know that there's something about the spot where the Keypad was before, that was causing issues.
But if the chirps don't come back no matter what, then the Captain is right and we might need to replace the unit entirely.

@ Van3ssaMichelle The key pad should beep by default. Try fresh set of batteries but you can always call Support to have it replaced under warranty.

I have been asking since I got SS for the ability to make the countdown louder. It really should be an option.
