adding components
Looking to add a couple cameras, sensors, and maybe doorbell to my current system. After doing a little digging, it looks like I can buy a completely new system for less than half of the cost of buying the components individually. Any reason why I couldn't do this and merely store the base station and keyboard away for future use (if needed)?

@onefatdad I have posted for years the great deals at Costco, where for the price of the Series 2 OD camera as an example, you could get a complete 8 piece system with the exact same camera, motions sensor, a keypad, base and entry sensors. Downside: Not much, as you may have to set up the base and then use the phone app (easiest) to remove them from the base and then add them back into your system. This is necessary as the serial number would be connected with the new system.
Before going that route, I suggest you call SS and explain your position and plan of action. They may (key word there) just offer you a discount to make it worth your while. Like chicken soup, can't hurt.
