Motion detection device

We tested Living Room motion device

Set system to AWAY mode, waited one minute, then walked around in LR.

No alarm, no detection...

What's wrong...

@guycmcd SS3? gen 1 or gen 2? Did you first try test mode? How high do you have them mounted? In corner of room? Did you try waiting 5 minutes? Any error messages? Are they set to "instant trigger"? Yep, a lot of questions, recommend you call support and troubleshoot.

don't know gen

yes to test mode

mounted about 7 feet in corner

didn't try 5 mins

no error messages

tried normal and instant trigger both several times

@guycmcd Suggest you call support to troubleshoot and confirm what system you have, what gen motion sensor you have, keep on instant trigger and it's mounted too high to cover properly; try about 5.5 feet.

An example why you should call support: Lets say likely SimpliSafe system 3, then if gen1 there is a sensitivity switch behind the battery, gen 2 only adjustment is pet mode on or off in the software. Easiest and quickest way is to call support. BTW, if you feel as if you are not getting anywhere, ask to be escalated to 2nd level support.
