What have I inherited?

Hi everyone, complete novice here and hope you can help...

I have just taken over a building that has two Simplisafe cameras mounted on an outside wall along with a solar panel connected to each camera. Model CMOB1.  They were without batteries but I found them and they are now fully charged; the light flashes on the front when I insert them and screw the camera front face back on. I have the App on my phone but I cannot get past plugging in the base station because there isn't one.

But that's it, I have nothing but the cameras and the solar panels, nothing else.

It seems that I would require a G3 Base Station and a keypad?  How can I get these?

Do I need an Internet / wi-fi connection or can these cameras operate without internet?

There is no SD Card so how do the cameras store activity and how can I access it.

Thank you in anticipation.

Hi @raylloydphoto

Great that you have inherited a 2 camera setups!
With SimpliSafe, you require a Base Station to connect all devices and manage the system, including cameras.
You could purchase the Starter Kit Which is the core components required + 1 entry sensor. You can always build out the system in time if you desire.

Cameras do require a 2.4ghz WiFi connection. You can then live view the camera feed once set up on the app. You can also get a Professional Monitoring plan, or a Camera recording plan, which will store recordings (cloud based) and you can download them from the timeline of events in the SimpliSafe App.

Would highly recommend giving us a call so that we can go through all the offerings in detail for you, and answer any follow up questions you may have.

Many thanks for this.  We have now found the Base Station and have managed to set up the system and will consider a payment plan to further our needs.
