3 or 4 sensors with good batteries failed

Nov. 18,2022

How can I trust this Simplisafe system? last week 3 or 4 sensors with good batteries failed at about the same time. I had to disconnect them from system to stop warnings.

I have the same issue. Multiple sensors well within base station range with full batteries frequently and unpredictably drop signal including when we are away on trips for multiple days. How can we have any confidence that our house is secure while gone if multiple entryways are not responding? What is being done to fix this hardware or software issue? I have sensors with 18’ direct line of sight to base station failing multiple times per week…

@mlyw If multiple sensors are displaying a Not Responding error message, that may indicate an issue with the placement of the Base Station.

We recommend that the Base Station is placed in a central area of your home, and that it's elevated at least 3 feet from the ground on a non-dense surface (like glass or wood.) Putting the Base Station on a denser material like granite or metal can cause communication issues.

We also recommend that the Base Station is at least 3-5 feet away from devices that output wireless signals, like routers, televisions, and other large appliances that are Wi-Fi enabled. These devices can cause interference that would disrupt the radio frequency signal between the Base Station and sensors.

THE SENSORS CLOSEST TO THE BASE ARE THE ONES FAILING. IT must be YOUR BAD EQUIPMENT
