Panic Button Settings & Customizations

Your Panic Button can be customized to be a silent or audible alarm, and additionally be configured to request dispatch of different emergency services, like Fire or Medical.
The Panic Button settings will determine what happens when you press the Panic Button for 2 seconds.
Audible | This is the default setting. When an Audible alarm is triggered, it will trigger your system’s siren and a call from our monitoring center. If you do not answer, or if you request it, the monitoring agent will request emergency dispatch.* |
Fire | This will trigger a Fire alarm and a call from our monitoring center. If you do not answer, or if you request it, the monitoring agent will request assistance from your local fire department.* |
Medical | This will trigger a Medical Alert voice prompt from the Base Station and a call from our monitoring center. If you do not answer, or if you request it, the operator will request EMS assistance at the location of your system.* |
Silent | This will not trigger an audible siren or a call from our monitoring center. The monitoring agent will request dispatch from emergency services immediately.* |
*Dispatch services are available with an active monitoring plan.
Follow the instructions below to customize your Panic Button using the SimpliSafe® Mobile App or the Keypad.
SimpliSafe® Mobile App:
Open the SimpliSafe® app on your phone or tablet
Choose My System from the bottom navigation bar
Select Device Settings
Tap on your Panic Button from the list of devices
Under Device Behaviors, tap on your Panic Button
Make a selection for what type of alarm you wish the Panic Button to trigger
Choose Save in the upper right corner to save your selections before exiting
KeyPad:
Select Menu
Enter your Primary PIN
Choose Devices
Select your Panic Button from the list of devices
Scroll for Panic Alarm
Then make your selection for what type of alarm you wish for the Panic Button to trigger
