Glassbreak Sensors are programmed to listen for the specific frequency of broken glass. They should be installed within twenty feet of the windows you want protected. However, if you have windows with heavy curtains we recommend installing your Glassbreak Sensors 5-10 feet away from your windows. Glassbreak Sensors are designed to be installed on the wall, however, they can be placed on the edge of a flat surface if a corner or wall are not available.
NOTE: You can turn down the sensitivity of the Glassbreak Sensor via the switch on the back of the sensor. Simply slide the Glassbreak Sensor off its bracket, and you will expose a small black switch. Slide it towards the "L" to lower the sensitivity.
To install your Glassbreak Sensor remove the white battery activation strip hanging out of the battery compartment. Next, remove the liner from the adhesive strip attached to the Glassbreak Sensor’s bracket, and adhere the Glassbreak Sensor to the surface in the location you want it to be installed. Make sure that your Glassbreak Sensor is facing the windows you want it to secure. Press and hold the Glassbreak Sensor for 30 seconds to ensure it is firmly attached to the wall. If you would prefer your Glassbreak Sensor to be permanently attached to the wall, slide it up off of it’s bracket, and you can use the included screws to attach the bracket to the surface. After, slide your Glassbreak Sensor back on to the bracket, and it is installed.
