The Motion Sensor Gen 2 can be customized to fit your home's needs through the settings menu. There, you can adjust which armed states your Motion Sensor will trigger an alarm in, and enable Instant Trigger. By default, the Motion Sensor will only trigger an alarm when your system is armed in Away Mode, and Home, Off, and Instant Trigger will be off. With Instant Trigger enabled, the Motion Sensor will sound an alarm the moment it is triggered, there will be no entry delay.

Follow the steps below to customize your Motion Sensor’s settings using either the SimpliSafe® Mobile App, SimpliSafe® Web App, or Keypad.

SimpliSafe® Mobile App

1. Open the SimpliSafe® Mobile App and navigate to the “My System” gear on the bottom of the screen.

2. Select “Device Settings”.

3. Choose the Motion Sensor Gen 2 that you would like to customize.

1. Here, you can turn Instant Trigger on or off, and change the Motion Sensor’s alarm settings for Off, Home, and Away Mode.

4. Repeat step 3 for every Motion Sensor you wish to customize.

Keypad

1. Press Menu and enter your Master PIN.

2. Scroll up to “Devices”.

3. Select the Motion Sensor you wish to customize.

1. Log into your SimpliSafe account at webapp.simplisafe.com.

2. On the left-hand side of the screen, click “Devices”.

3. Select the Motion Sensor you wish to customize.
