Why is the Base Station Beeping?
Updated
To keep you up-to-date regarding your system and ensure it is in good shape, you may encounter the Base Station’s Trouble Signal. The Trouble Signal is a three-tone chime that will emit from your Base Station, and is accompanied by its yellow flashing Trouble Light.
The Trouble Signal and Trouble Light are to warn you of any potential issues with your SimpliSafe® system, like:
Devices are either Not Responding or marked as Offline
Smoke, CO, or Smoke & CO Detectors have a malfunction or low sensitivity is being reported
Smoke, CO, or Smoke & CO Detectors have a tamper switch that is not held down
A No Link to Dispatcher error may be reported
RF Interference may be detected
If you are experiencing the Trouble Signal, you will see a box appear on your Keypad with an exclamation mark in it, noting that there is an issue occurring with your system. These warnings cannot be dismissed until the issue is resolved, and once resolved, the Trouble Signal and Trouble Light will stop. However, you can modify or turn off the Trouble Signal and Trouble Light in your Base Station settings at any time.
