Using a Business Address With SimpliSafe®

When using SimpliSafe® at a commercial business, it’s important to update your address within your Location Settings accordingly so that we can request dispatch of emergency services accordingly in the event of an alarm. Having accurate business information listed is also a requirement for permitting, should your town or city require it.

New monitoring subscribers will automatically have this information added to their account when setting up their plan. However, if you have had your SimpliSafe® at your commercial location for some time, you may want to double-check your location profile to make sure that all of your information is up to date.

Location Setting information can be added using the SimpliSafe® Mobile App on your phone or tablet, or within the Web App using a computer.

SimpliSafe® Mobile App

  1. Open the SimpliSafe® Mobile App on your phone or tablet

  2. Choose My System from the navigation bar at the bottom of the app

  3. Select Location Settings from the list of available menu options

  4. Tap on the pencil icon next to your property name

  5. Enter the name of your business in the field

  6. Choose SAVE at the top right corner of the app to save your selections

SimpliSafe® Web App

  1. Login to your SimpliSafe® account using the Web App on a computer

    1. If you manage multiple properties, choose the location you wish to update from the list by clicking on the Base Station Serial Number or Property Address

  2. Select Monitoring from the navigation menu on the left hand side of the screen

  3. Scroll to the Monitored Address section

  4. Use the Location Name (Optional) field to input your business name

  5. Once done, click the Save button that will appear on the bottom right corner of the screen to ensure that your changes save
